Vision and Values

Our vision and values are at the heart of everything we do. They shape our teaching and learning, guide our relationships, and help create a nurturing environment where every child can grow into a confident, happy and responsible citizen.

Our staff and governors work closely together to develop a vision that reflects our Christian values and aspirations for the whole school community. Our pupils have also played an important role in shaping our mission statement, as we believe it is essential that they have a voice and take ownership of the values that guide our school. By working together, we have created a shared vision that inspires and supports everyone to flourish.

Our Vision

Our Values

Mission Statement
Inspired by the example of Jesus, we seek to SHINE in all that we do through Service, Hope, Integrity, Nurture, and Endurance. These values guide our learning, relationships, and actions, helping us to grow as caring, responsible, and faithful members of our community.

Together, we live out our school motto: “Always trying to do our best so that we can shine.”

Service

Following Christ's example: Jesus showed service by caring for others, helping those in need, and putting others before Himself.

Children demonstrate Service when they:
- Help others without being asked.
- Show kindness and care to classmates and staff.
- Take responsibility for helping in the classroom and around the school.
- Use their gifts and talents to support others.

Hope

Following Christ's example: Jesus brought hope to people through His words, actions, and promises. He encouraged others to trust in God and look forward with confidence.

Children demonstrate Hope when they:
- Persevere when learning is challenging.
- Stay positive during difficult situations.
- Encourage others when they feel worried or discouraged.
- Believe that mistakes are opportunities to learn and grow

Integrity

Following Christ's example: Jesus always acted with honesty, truthfulness, and faithfulness. His words and actions matched perfectly.

Children demonstrate Integrity when they:
- Tell the truth, even when it is difficult.
- Make good choices when no one is watching.
- Take responsibility for their actions.
- Treat others fairly and respectfully.

Nurture

Following Christ's example: Jesus nurtured those around Him through compassion, forgiveness, encouragement, and love. He helped people grow and flourish.

Children demonstrate Nurture when they:
- Show kindness and compassion to others.
- Include everyone and make others feel valued.
- Forgive and seek to restore friendships.
- Care for God's creation and their school environment.

Endurance

Following Christ's example: Jesus showed great endurance by remaining faithful to God's purpose, even when faced with difficulties and challenges.

Children demonstrate Endurance when they:
- Keep trying when tasks are difficult.
- Show determination in their learning.
- Learn from setbacks and keep moving forward.
- Remain committed to doing what is right.
